Fiasco Magazine – Interview
January 27th, 2013
Fiasco Magazine did an interview and feature of me a couple weeks ago and I’d like to share it with you below.

Sisilia Piring is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles. She first started photography in the 8th grade and fell madly in love with film and the darkroom. It wasn’t until 2010 that she passionately pursued photography and it became her life. Since then Sisilia has been published in several publications both online and in print including Refinery29, Blink Magazine, Ben Trovato, Urban Outfitters Blog, VSCO and more. In 2012, Samsung hired Sisilia to shoot their campaign, VOGUE Italia showcased her work in a gallery in Milan, Italy and Smashbox Studios showed her work in their gallery photo show. She currently is showing and selling prints in Paper Crown gallery in Chicago.
What encouraged you to begin photography?
I wanted to document every single thing in my life and what better way to document something than with photographs. I became obsessed.
What would be your dream assignment?
A dream assignment for me would be to shoot for an Urban’s Outfitter’s catalog or a Free People catalog or NYLON Magazine!
What is it you love about capturing the female form?
I love the female form. I think it’s absolutely beautiful. I don’t know exactly what I love about it, I’m just always drawn to it when I photograph.
What are your plans for 2013?
I’d like to blog more in 2013, shoot more personal projects, love more, travel more, write more, be a great mom to my daughter I’m expecting in April.
